Asia On The Edge 2013, an annual conference that aims to incubate new ideas and explore opportunities, will be held in Hong Kong for the first time, from July 4 to 7.
The conference was initiated in 2008 by the Old Parliament House Limited, a not-for-profit organisation in Singapore committed to enriching lives through arts and cultural initiatives. With the support of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore, the event is being brought to Hong Kong. Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development Gregory So will speak at the opening ceremony.
It provides a platform for creative leaders in the region to exchange and share experience and ideas and to explore business opportunities. They will attend trade talks and panel discussions, and visit arts facilities in Hong Kong.
Director of the Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in Singapore Fong Ngai said the office is excited to bring together about 100 delegates from ASEAN countries in Hong Kong. Speakers at AOTE 2013 are experts in their fields from Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Myanmar.
The delegates come from the media, film, publishing and design industries.
